Forest Fire Breaks Out in Antalya

A forest fire has broken out in the Kemer region of the Antalya resort in Turkey.

According to CNN Türk, the fire ignited in the Goynuk area around 16:00. The publication reported that the fire has spread over an area of 0.3 hectares. Authorities are taking measures to extinguish the blaze.

Last July, Turkish authorities announced efforts to combat fires in three districts of the Antalya resort province and in two other provinces of the country. At that time, the wildfires had approached hotels where Russian tourists traditionally stay.
