ISIS Threatens to Carry Out Attacks During Champions League Quarterfinal Matches
The Islamic State has threatened to carry out terrorist attacks during the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal football matches. This news has been reported by the Spanish outlets Marca and Onda Cero.
According to media reports, the terrorist group's media center, Al-Azaim, has posted a threat banner listing four stadiums: England's Emirates, Paris' Parc des Princes, Spain's Metropolitano Arena, and Santiago Bernabéu, with the message "kill everyone". It is noted that both matches taking place in Spain are proceeding as scheduled.
One of the quarterfinal matches was already held on Tuesday, and today two more matches are expected. On April 10, Atlético Madrid will compete against Borussia Dortmund in the Spanish capital, while Barcelona will face PSG in Paris.
On the evening of March 22, a terrorist attack occurred at Crocus City Hall near Moscow. The attack resulted in 144 fatalities, with more than 500 others injured. The responsibility for the attack was claimed by one of the Islamic State's divisions.
It is worth mentioning that the matches on April 10 will feature Atlético Madrid (Spain) against Borussia Dortmund (Germany) at 23:00 local time (Yerevan), and PSG (France) against Barcelona (Spain) at 23:00.
