In One Case Judges Are in Class, in Another There Is No Fuel: The Situation in Courts
The "Haykakan Zhamanak" newspaper reports: Yesterday, there was a notable situation at the Anti-Corruption Court. As is known, former Police Chief Vladimir Gasparyan arrives at court with the help of his relatives. Due to health issues, he has difficulty walking. Consequently, he was brought to the court with assistance and awaited his call to appear. However, the court staff informed him that the hearing would not take place as Judge Suren Khachatryan was attending classes. Perhaps a notification was sent to the former police chief that did not reach him.
As a result, Vladimir Gasparyan had no choice but to leave the court as difficult as it was for him to arrive. In one instance, judges are attending classes; in another, there is no fuel or accompanying police officers to bring defendants to court; in yet another case, witnesses cannot be summoned. This is the current state of affairs in our courts.
