Arizona Extends 160-Year Ban on Abortions
The Arizona court has extended a 160-year ban on abortions. The Arizona Supreme Court has determined that the policy on artificial pregnancy termination must align with the law enacted in 1864. The document stipulates prison terms of two to five years for those who terminate pregnancies. The law will go into effect 14 days after signing. During this period, abortion clinics will be able to cease operations.
With this decision, Arizona has become the 15th state in the U.S. to impose a ban on abortion.
