VIDEO: Police Brutally Disperse Protesters Against NATO Event in Italy

Julya

Italian law enforcement has dispersed protesters opposing an event dedicated to NATO's anniversary, resulting in 8 individuals seeking medical attention. This information comes from Readovka.

In connection with the 75th anniversary of the North Atlantic Alliance, a concert was scheduled at the San Carlo Theatre in Italy. To disrupt the event, protesters attempted to break through a police barricade on Toledo Street. However, the 'law enforcement officers' reportedly received orders to prevent anyone from passing through. They began to brutally beat individuals with batons and push them further away.

It has been reported that 8 people were injured, three of whom sustained head and facial injuries. According to the protesters, municipal authorities should not have hosted a militaristic NATO event at the San Carlo Theatre, which is one of the cultural symbols of the city. An organization that imposes aggressive wars should not hold its circus in such a venue.

It was reported that access to the area where the event was taking place was closed throughout the day.
