76 kg of Cocaine Discovered in Bananas Imported from Colombia in Kaliningrad Region
In the Kaliningrad region, 76 kilograms of illegal substances were discovered in a batch of bananas imported from Colombia in a vegetable storage facility. According to 'MVD Media,' during the inspection of the shipment, law enforcement officials seized nine boxes in which compressed packets of a powdery white substance weighing 76 kilograms were stacked beneath the top layer of bananas.
The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Irina Volk, stated that preliminary data indicates the substance was cocaine. According to the police, the batch of bananas was delivered by sea from Colombia to Germany, then transported by vehicle to Lithuania, and from there to Russia. The truck was driven by a 44-year-old resident of Belarus. After unloading, the vehicle headed towards Poland.
