VIDEO: Advertising Panels Completely Removed from Baghramyan Avenue and Kiev Bridge
During the past week, a total of 417 advertisements installed without the necessary permits were dismantled in the administrative area of Yerevan. Additionally, 16 large advertising panels with significant informational displays were also removed. This was reported today during a working meeting at the Yerevan City Hall by Mayor Tigran Avinyan.
According to Deputy Mayor Suren Grigoryan, the dismantling of large informational display advertising panels began last year. “The advertising panels with informational displays have been completely removed from Baghramyan Avenue and Kiev Bridge. The second visible outcome of the implementation of advertising standards is the prohibition of using the building façade as a backdrop,” Grigoryan said, thanking businesses for responding to the changes.
Avinyan also emphasized that this process should continue to improve the city’s appearance. “The other problem we have is the cables hanging in the air, which I hope we can turn into a project and move from the small center to the other administrative districts,” he stated.
