Dreaming is Not Harmful: Sergey Lavrov
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov commented on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's statements regarding the necessity to return to the borders of February 2022, stating that "dreaming is not harmful." This information was reported by TASS.
Lavrov told reporters that he discussed the West's intentions to involve more countries in Zelensky's "peace formula" with foreign diplomats. "We talked in detail about the West's specific plans to involve as many countries as possible from the global South, the global East, the global majority in promoting the so-called 10-point ‘formula’ of Zelensky," the minister noted.
"Zelensky’s ‘formula’ is well-known, it has been published; it is an ultimatum that requires Russia to surrender and withdraw to the 1991 borders. Recently, Mr. Zelensky ‘kindly’ mentioned that one could start from the February 2022 borders. Well, dreaming is not harmful," Lavrov stated.
According to him, this ultimatum subsequently demands to "bring Russia’s leadership to justice, put it on trial, force the leadership of Russia to pay reparations, and limit the Russian leadership's ability to defend its territory, with restrictions on arms."
"A lot is being discussed there. And besides this ultimatum, Zelensky’s ‘formula’ also contains ostensibly harmless headings like ‘Food Security’, ‘Energy Security’, ‘Nuclear Security’, ‘Prisoner Exchanges’, and ‘Humanitarian Issues’,” the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry added.
