It Turned Into a Tragedy the World Had Never Seen: Zakharova on Armenia and the U.S. Cooperation
When a country in NATO makes promises, one should ask where they had previously succeeded.
This statement was made by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry. She commented on the expansion of Armenia's cooperation with the United States and the North Atlantic Alliance.
"The United States bore responsibility for Haiti. You see what is happening there," she said.
According to Zakharova, U.S. policy under Joe Biden in the Middle East has also been a complete failure. "Washington held responsibility for the situation in the region and was more than just an ally of Israel, but also offered its honest mediation to the other side of the conflict. It turned into a tragedy the world had never seen," the Ministry representative noted.
The U.S. has destroyed the international mediators' quartet in the Middle East and imposed a forgetfulness of the international frameworks for Middle Eastern regulation. "They said they know and can resolve the situation. Such a dreadful deadlock into which the U.S. plunged the Middle East, and its closest ally, nobody knew. Let Armenia and the Armenian people remember this not for us, not for lofty goals, but for themselves. That is important when meetings are planned for quartets, triangles, or other formats and shapes. Let them remember where the United States gained its closest allies. That is the question," she said.
