Parliamentary Opposition Demands Emergency Session of the National Assembly
The parliamentary opposition will initiate an emergency session of the National Assembly on April 9, dedicated to the demarcation and delimitation of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. This was stated to News.am by Seyran Ohanyan, the head of the 'Armenia' faction and former Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.
‘We will show the public that under the current circumstances, there are no conditions for the demarcation and delimitation of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. Two neighboring countries that are hostile to each other must first reach an agreement and declare their readiness for peaceful coexistence. After that, a treaty must be signed, and a joint interstate commission must be established. Then, as a second step, the entire state border demarcation process must begin. Our border is approximately 950 km long,’ Ohanyan stated.
