EU Mission in Armenia Turning into NATO Mission Due to Pro-Western Efforts: Zakharova

The EU mission in Armenia is transforming into a NATO mission. This statement was made by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, during a press briefing.

Zakharova commented, “The EU mission in Armenia is essentially being turned into a NATO mission due to the efforts of pro-Western individuals. In order to demonstrate a certain necessity for alliance, the leaders of member states incite anti-Russian hysteria, calling for preparations for military conflict with our country, and investing huge resources in the military-industrial complex against a backdrop of evident economic issues.”

According to Zakharova, it is not they who are making investments, but they are calling on Armenia to invest in the military-industrial complex. She stated that NATO has made many promises to various countries, including Serbia and Ukraine. The countries that managed to resist these promises, under which statehood, society, and economy were being destroyed, were the ones that survived.

“Those who could not or did not want to, such as Ukraine, have collapsed,” said the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
