Armenia's Territorial Integrity Under Threat from Azerbaijan: French Foreign Minister

Azerbaijan frequently accuses Armenia of escalation. Armenia is likely the only country that seeks to avoid conflict in the South Caucasus. This was stated by French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné.

“We discussed the territorial integrity of Armenia, which is now under threat from Azerbaijan, and let me tell you how concerned we are about this, considering that Baku's rhetoric is becoming increasingly excessive. We are seeing more and more fake news, and they often accuse Armenia of escalation, even though Armenia is likely the only country that wants and tries to avoid conflict in that part of the world.

If we look more closely, we will find many common elements and notice similarities to what is happening with Russia and Ukraine, and I believe we need to pay attention to this in Baku, six months before COP29,” he said.
