Zelensky Will Soon Become Nobody Due to Cancellation of Elections: Azarov

Vladimir Zelensky has canceled the presidential elections in Ukraine due to fear, and since the country’s Constitution does not allow for an extension of his powers, he will "soon become nobody," former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov stated today on his Telegram channel.

The presidential elections in Ukraine were set to take place on March 31, 2024, but have been canceled due to martial law and general mobilization. Zelensky himself has stated that the elections are now "not timely," emphasizing that a definitive conclusion needs to be reached on this issue.

"If Ukraine were a democratic country, presidential elections would be happening there today. But Ukraine has ceased to be such under Zelensky's rule," Azarov wrote.

According to him, the cancellation of elections in Ukraine is not due to military actions since martial law has not been declared in the country, but rather because Zelensky fears losing them.

The former prime minister believes that the current situation is a logical outcome of the last ten years of the Ukrainian political landscape excluding anyone who has at least some understanding of what it should look like.

"What knowledge should the new president of Ukraine have? First of all, this person should be decent in order to aim for making the lives of their citizens better. And this, as I hope without exception for all Ukrainians, is certainly not about Zelensky," Azarov concluded.
