VIDEO: SpaceX Rocket Launches European Communication Satellite into Orbit
SpaceX has successfully launched its Falcon 9 rocket, deploying the French Eutelsat 36D telecommunications satellite into orbit. This was reported by the company's press service.
"The placement of the Eutelsat 36D satellite has been confirmed," it stated on SpaceX's X page.
The rocket was launched at 5:52 PM (01:52 AM Yerevan time) from the Kennedy Space Center's Launch Complex 39 in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The satellite separated from the rocket 34 minutes after launch.
Its positioning at the desired location, which is 36,000 km above the Earth, will be carried out over a few months using electric propulsion systems.
