The committee announced that a criminal case has been initiated under Article 166, Part 2, Point 6 of the RA Criminal Code (causing serious harm to health through the use of a weapon or an object prepared or adapted for causing bodily harm).
“One individual with serious bodily injuries is currently receiving treatment in a medical facility. The suspect, who has no connection to military service, has been detained. The preliminary investigation is ongoing, and steps are being taken to clarify the circumstances of the incident and to legally assess the actions of those involved,” the Investigative Committee reported.
Previously, ArmLur.am reported that the incident occurred at the intersection of the second dead-end of Khorenatsi Street in the neighborhood known as “Turkish Quarter.” According to the media outlet, the individuals involved in the altercation were contracted soldiers A.M. and E.H. They had argued about domestic issues within the military unit, after which the discussion continued in the street, escalating to the point where A.M. was stabbed, necessitating urgent transport to the hospital.
