Situation at Upper Lars

Upper Lars has been closed to freight transport in both directions. This was reported by Vahan Hakobyan, the customs attaché at the Armenian Embassy in Russia.

“Due to black ice on the Gudauri-Kobi section of the international Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars highway, the Khach mountain pass has been closed to freight transport in both directions,” the statement said. The road remains open for light passenger vehicles.
