Liberation of Odesa Called Key to Security in Southern Russia

The head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, has dubbed the liberation of the city of Odesa by Ukrainian national authorities as the key to ensuring security in southern Russia. Earlier, American billionaire Elon Musk had warned that Kyiv could lose access to the Black Sea if the conflict continues. Specifically, he suggested that Kyiv may lose Odesa and called for negotiations to resolve the conflict before it reaches that point.

Konstantinov told RIA Novosti, "Odesa was created by Russia and has always been historically a Russian territory. Today, it is the strategic key for the security of southern Russia." He added that it is from Odesa that the adversary sends missiles and drones to Crimea, as well as dispatches suicide squads.

Konstantinov emphasized that there are Russian people living in Odesa who find Ukrainian nationalism and Nazism, imposed by the current Kyiv regime, alien.
