VIDEO. Tree Felling Process Occurs Amid Scandals and Clashes: Manuk Sukiasyan

The tree felling and greening process in Yerevan continues to unfold amid ongoing scandals and clashes. This was stated today, on March 29, by Manuk Sukiasyan, the head of the "Mother Armenia" faction in the Yerevan City Council, during a live broadcast on Aleks Manoukian Street.

“Brute force plays a role in all of this, for which the current city authorities are responsible, as well as the ruling forces in general. The people who came to power through ‘lives’ are becoming entangled with ‘lives’. It is hard to imagine more surrealism than this. They came with 'lives' and will leave with 'lives'; do not doubt for a second,” he stated.

At one point, a dispute erupted between opposition members of the council and the director of the “Greening and Environmental Protection” NGO, Armen Begoyan, but it was quickly resolved.
