All Offices Representing the Exiled Government in Armenia Must Be Closed: Taron Chakoyan
All offices representing the exiled government in Armenia must be closed, as they pose a threat to the security and statehood of Armenia. This statement was made by the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister, Taron Chakoyan, on his Facebook page.
“All offices representing the exiled government in Armenia must be closed, as their very existence poses a threat to the security and statehood of Armenia. There cannot be a state within a state. There is no exiled government in Armenia, nor can there be. After carrying out a coup in Nagorno-Karabakh and resulting in the depopulation of the region, the same adventurers are trying to present themselves as an exiled government in Armenia, which is a direct threat to national security,” he wrote.
It is noted that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated today that certain factions forcibly displaced from Artsakh are either consciously or unconsciously taking actions that pose a threat to Armenia's national security. Previously, the President of the occupied Republic of Artsakh, Samvel Shahramanyan, gave an interview to the French outlet Le Figaro and responded to the question of whether there is an exiled state and government by saying: “Yes, the office of the President of Artsakh and the offices of judicial and legislative bodies are located in the building where I am hosting you in Yerevan. Members of parliament can gather here to vote. In October, I signed a decree stating that all ministers of the government remain in their positions on a voluntary basis.”
