VIDEO: Alen Simonyan Discusses Possible EU Membership

It is a thankless job to comment on Azerbaijan's actions. This was stated by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, during a conversation with reporters, responding to a question about whether the statement from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs is preparation for a possible provocation.

"There is no discussion of EU membership at this stage. The issue of Armenia's EU membership will not be addressed at the upcoming meeting in Brussels; I don't think such a discussion will take place, and I am not aware of the agenda," noted Simonyan, referring to the upcoming meeting in Brussels on April 5, which will involve Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
