Accident in Ararat: Casualties and Injuries Reported
On March 25, at 18:45, the Crisis Management Center of the Ararat Regional Rescue Department received a report that an accident had occurred near the village of Pokr Vedi, with casualties reported. This information was provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
A firefighting rescue team from the regional emergency department was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that two vehicles, a Nissan (driver: L. H., born in 1981) and a Volkswagen (driver: A. M., born in 1969), collided in the administrative area of the village of Taperakan. A. M. was pronounced dead at the scene.
Before the arrival of the rescuers, a passenger in the Volkswagen, E. M. (born in 2010), was taken to a medical center where doctors assessed his condition as satisfactory.
Rescuers extracted the driver of the Nissan, L. H., and provided assistance, leading him to the ambulance. He was hospitalized, while the passenger of the Volkswagen, N. S. (born in 1980), was also taken to the medical center, where his death was confirmed.
Rescuers retrieved the body of the driver A. M. from the Volkswagen before securing the vehicles and shutting off the gas valve of the Nissan vehicle.
