One of the Stabbed Women Has Died in the Hospital, Suspect Found in a Restaurant
On March 24, at 11:19 AM, the Mashtots Police Department received a report from the Armenia Medical Center stating that an ambulance had transported two women, aged 64 and 30, with serious stab wounds—a penetrating wound in the chest and abdominal area for the older woman and a stab wound to the left chest wall for the younger woman.
This information was reported by the Armenian police. An operational group that left the station discovered that at around 10:30 AM, during a quarrel at the specified home, a 40-year-old man had attacked the two neighboring women with a sharp cutting instrument and then fled the scene.
While efforts were underway to locate the 40-year-old man, a report was received from the hospital confirming that the 64-year-old woman had died.
As a result of urgent operational-investigative measures carried out by the Mashtots Police Department, the 40-year-old man was located and apprehended at approximately 8:20 PM in one of the restaurant complexes in the village of Jrvezh, Kotayk Province, on reasonable suspicion of committing murder and causing bodily harm. He was taken to the Mashtots Police Department, where relevant documents were prepared and submitted to the investigative department.
