Who is the one handing over the homeland? No one is surrendering land. This was stated today, March 25, by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Eduard Asryan, during a conversation with journalists at the National Assembly, responding to a question regarding whether the four villages in the Tavush region are our lands that the government intends to surrender.

When asked if it is normal to speak in a manner suggesting that if land is not given, there will be war, he replied, "Who said that? The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces is the leader of the armed forces. I lead the armed forces, and the armed forces carry out the tasks set before them. War can occur in one hour, two hours, three hours, one year, two years, five years from now. We are not land surrenderers."

He did not respond to the remaining questions, particularly regarding whether he would obey an order to surrender land if it were to be given.
