Russia's Central Bank Proposes to Banks to Forgive Debts of Victims from Crocus City Hall
The Central Bank of the Russian Federation has proposed to banks, microfinance organizations, pawn shops, and other financial institutions to forgive the debts of victims from the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall. This information was reported on the regulator's official website.
"The regulator has sent a relevant letter to banks, microfinance organizations, consumer credit cooperatives, agricultural consumer credit cooperatives, and pawn shops. These organizations have the right to do so without asking the heirs," the statement reads.
Additionally, the Central Bank has called on creditors to provide support to those affected by the terrorist act, "up to completely freeing them from obligations assumed through loan agreements." To do this, the affected individuals must submit an application to the financial institution, as stated in the message.
