Armenian Military Surgeon Saves Lives of Victims from 'Crocus' Terrorist Attack
“We did everything as we should have,” said surgeon Karen Poghosov from the Krasnogorsk Hospital, discussing the treatment of those injured in the terrorist attack at the 'Crocus City Hall'. The hospital had never before received such a large influx of casualties from such an incident.
As Poghosov explained to Izvestia, the doctors did everything within their power. “If we had not been prepared, I assure you, the death toll would have been much higher,” he emphasized.
This is not the first time Karen Poghosov has worked with such victims, as he served as a military surgeon in Artsakh from 1992 to 2001. “It was somewhat familiar to me; I was somewhat calm. Moreover, behind me stood young surgeon colleagues who said, ‘We will overcome this.’ It worked out, they did it. And today, we can look into each other's eyes with a clear conscience,” he recounted.
