Residents of Belgorod Region Urged to Evacuate Immediately
The head of the Grayvoron urban district administration in Belgorod region, Gennady Bondarev, has requested residents of border settlements to temporarily relocate to Yaroslavl region due to a complicated operational situation.
“I appeal to those who remain in the border settlements of the urban district. The situation continues to remain tense. I ask you to make the right decision and temporarily leave the territory of the urban district. Our partners in Yaroslavl region are ready to take in residents of Grayvoron. Please let me know who is ready to leave. We are organizing departures,” he wrote on Telegram.
He added that authorities are trying to deliver food to the remaining residents, but this depends on the operational situation. “I strongly advise you and your loved ones not to put yourselves in danger,” the official urged.
In another Telegram post, he urged departing residents, whose homes have pets and livestock, not to lock their gates so that volunteers or self-defense fighters can feed them. Requests for feeding animals should be sent to the heads of rural areas or to the number 122. He promised to discuss announcements regarding the evacuation of animals when the operational situation allows them to be taken out.
Recently, the territory of Grayvoron urban district in Belgorod and several other municipalities has been under constant shelling. There are casualties and injuries. Nine thousand children will be relocated from the region to other regions.
