Emergency Vehicle Involved in Accident While Transporting Bodies from Fatal Accident in Syunik
On March 19, in Syunik province, an emergency vehicle transporting the bodies of those who perished in a tragic car accident and fire encountered an accident itself due to icy road conditions in the Sisian administrative area. As reported from the scene by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the emergency vehicle did not fall into the ravine as it collided with roadside iron barriers. After some time, the driver was assisted by his colleague and another civilian, who helped right the vehicle, enabling it to continue transporting the bodies to the morgue.
Earlier, the photojournalist had reported that on March 19, a tragic car accident and fire occurred in Syunik province. At around 5:30 am, on the 207 km stretch of the Yerevan-Meghri road, two vehicles, a “06” model and an “Opel,” collided. Following the impact, a fire erupted in the “06,” while the “Opel” veered off the roadway and ended up in a field.
