Tragic Car Accident in Syunik: Four Charred Bodies Discovered

A tragic car accident occurred today in the Syunik region, as reported by shamshyan.com. Around 5:30 AM, vehicles of model "06" and "Opel" collided on the 207 km section of the Yerevan-Meghri highway, within the administrative area of Sisian.

As a result of the collision, a fire broke out in the "06" vehicle, while the "Opel" veered off the roadway and ended up in a field. Firefighters responding to the scene extinguished the blaze in the vehicle, where they discovered four charred bodies.

According to G. Shamsyan's information, the driver of the "06" works as an assistant to the watch on duty at the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Jermuk, and the deceased are his relatives: his wife, a minor child, and a relative.

As a result of the accident, one person was hospitalized with injuries to Sisian Medical Center.

A criminal case has been initiated at the Sisian Investigative Department regarding the incident, where the identities of the drivers, the injured, and the deceased are being established. By order of the investigator, the vehicles are being transferred to the special storage area of the Sisian police department.
