2024 Will Be a Year of War, but Also a Year of Victory, Says Israeli Defense Minister

The current year will be a "year of war and victory" for Israel, which is conducting military operations in the Gaza Strip. This opinion was expressed by Yoav Gallant, Israel's Minister of Defense, according to TASS.

During an annual meeting regarding the ministry's work plans, Gallant emphasized, "I stated that 2024 will be a year of war, but also a year of victory," he wrote on X.

He pointed out the necessity of broad societal mobilization in Israel to achieve the objectives of the military operation in Gaza.

"In order to ensure our quantitative and qualitative advantage, it is necessary to mobilize all layers of the population and society; only in this way can we achieve victory in this campaign and ensure our existence in our country," Gallant said.
