Snow Falling in Certain Regions: Road Conditions in Armenia as of 8:00 PM

The Road Department reports: As of 8:00 PM on March 18, snow is falling in the Vardenyats and Saravani mountain passes, as well as in the regions of Jermuk, Aparan, Aragats, and Martuni. Rain is observed in the regions of Ararat, Sisian, Goris, Meghri, Abovyan, Talin, Baghramyan, Akhuryan, Dilijan, and Nairi.

The Vardenyats mountain pass is impassable for vehicles with trailers. All inter-state and national roads are open. Road construction teams are engaged in snow removal and treatment with salt and sand on the roads. To avoid accidents, incidents, and traffic jams, drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
