Explosion in Vehicle Leaves One Injured Near Gas Station

An explosion occurred near a gas station located at the intersection of the Kanakeravan and Zovuni villages. This information was provided by the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations' rescue service.

The Kotayk crisis management center received the notification on March 16 at around 20:45. Rescuers who arrived at the scene discovered that an explosion had taken place in a Peugeot vehicle transporting gas cylinders, without the outbreak of a fire.

The explosion damaged a wall (10 square meters) and the roof (20 square meters) of the gas station, as well as two parked vehicles, a Opel and a Volkswagen, nearby.

An employee of the gas station, identified as R. N., was hospitalized with burns.
