Today, a Real Struggle is Ongoing Between Azerbaijan and France: Aliyev

Azerbaijan, by inviting Armenia to sign a peace treaty, has effectively begun to create a union that is not at all to France’s liking, which wishes to maintain its control over this region. This was stated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
“From this, we see France's 'bias' against everything Azerbaijani, including monuments of art,” he said.
“In other words, today there is a real struggle occurring between Azerbaijan and France for leadership in the South Caucasus, which once again underlines the truth that has become an axiom: after the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War, our country has transformed into a political subject in global geopolitics,” Aliyev added.
