Turkey Demands Opening of the Zangezur Corridor, Removal of Ararat from the Coat of Arms, Constitutional Changes

“Currently, the global trade is suffering due to the situation in the Gaza Strip, which has arisen from issues in the Red Sea. In this regard, the Middle Corridor has global significance,” declared Binali Yıldırım, the chairman of the Turkic States Organization (TSO) Council, during a press conference.

“This corridor is crucial for Turkic states and the organization of Turkic states. Let the 21st century become the century of the Turks. The Zangezur corridor must also be opened. Armenia has such an opportunity after resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh issue. We must open the borders with Azerbaijan and Turkey, and we must open the Zangezur corridor. Changes should be made to the Constitution of Armenia. The territories depicted on Armenia's national coat of arms, including Ararat, should be removed,” he stated. It should be noted that Ararat is referred to as Agridag.
