VIDEO: What Threats from Russia Exist Towards Armenia? A Question to the Deputy Foreign Minister
For a long time, the Armenian side has expressed its desire to get closer to the European Union as much as possible. This was stated today by Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan in a conversation with journalists at the National Assembly. He noted that the partnership with the EU has never been at such a high level.
According to him, all possible options are being discussed, and all solutions that are in the interest of Armenia will be accepted. “At this moment, we are discussing all the options that will contribute to strengthening Armenia's sovereignty, its development, the diversification of the economy, and several other issues. We consider all issues solely from this perspective. Our partnership with the EU is exclusively aligned with our national interests,” said the Deputy Minister.
In response to a question about the recent statement from the UK Foreign Ministry regarding threats from Russia, Hovhannisyan said that this question should be directed to their British counterparts. He merely stated that a strategic cooperation format was established with the UK last year.
When pressed by a journalist about the specific threats being discussed from the UK, the Deputy Minister did not respond and left.
