Turkey's Defense Minister: We Will Not Submit to Anyone's Orders

Turkey will not seek permission to conduct anti-terror operations near its borders and will take necessary measures. This was stated by National Defense Minister Yasar Guler.

According to RIA Novosti, Turkish armed forces are expected to carry out large-scale ground operations against the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants in Northern Iraq, which is banned in the country. An agreement has been reached with the Baghdad administration, as previously reported by Hürriyet newspaper.

“When it comes to the security of our country, we do not ask anyone for anything and do what is necessary. No one should forget that the Republic of Turkey is a major state. We have not submitted to anyone's orders and will not submit,” said Guler to Hürriyet, discussing the potential responses from the U.S. and Russia regarding Turkey's large-scale operations.
