The State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition has initiated proceedings against the Araks Poultry Farm

The State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC) has initiated proceedings against the Araks Poultry Farm regarding the sale of eggs using the term "ESO." According to the SCPEC, several penalties have been previously imposed on the company for unfair competition.

The Commission has opened proceedings based on the use of the term "ESO," which resembles the word "Eco," in the sales of eggs produced by the Araks Poultry Farm, despite the fact that these products are not certified as organic agricultural products.

It is worth noting that the company has already faced sanctions for misleading the public through unfair competition. Specifically, the Commission classified the use of terms such as "ECO," "eco," "eoos," "ԷԿՈՍ," and "ԷԿՈս" by the company in the sale of eggs, in instances where those products do not qualify as certified organic agricultural products, as a misleading representation to the public and an act of unfair competition.
