Identity of Man Who Attempted Self-Immolation Near Government Building Identified

The identity of the man who attempted self-immolation near the government building has been established, and he is currently at the police station. This was reported to Auroranews by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Narek Sargsyan.

"Materials are being prepared, which will be transferred to the investigative body," he said, without disclosing further details.

In the footage of the self-immolation attempt, it is seen that the liquid substance the man poured over himself also splashed onto one of the police officers. Sargsyan noted that the officer was unharmed, and everything is fine with him.

The same officer is seen in the footage smoking a cigarette. Sargsyan admitted it was an unpleasant scene. "It is an unpleasant scene, but he was the one who neutralized the citizen," officials concluded.
