Macron Responds to Claims About His Wife Being Born a Man

French President Emmanuel Macron has publicly denounced claims that his wife was born a man, stating that such rumors are "false and fabricated." This was reported by the Daily Mail, highlighting Macron's anger and disappointment regarding the constant speculation surrounding his 70-year-old wife, Brigitte Macron, whom he married in 2007.

"The worst are the false information and fabricated scenarios," Macron said.

The president made his remarks during a speech on International Women’s Day on Friday. The publication notes that two women who claimed the First Lady was actually born a man were penalized with "symbolic fines" last June following an appeal.

In turn, both women alleged that they had faced "intimidation by the authorities" as the Élysée Palace attempted to conceal a "state secret."
