Pashinyan Holds Closed Meeting with Civil Contract in Parliament

In the National Assembly, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is holding a closed meeting with the ruling Civil Contract faction. The meeting also includes members of the government and the president of the Yerkran Banavorakan Union, Sasun Mikayelyan.

Government MPs did not provide details about the agenda of the meeting in their conversation with the Azatutyun (Liberty) station, only mentioning that a wide range of issues will be discussed.

Yesterday, the parliament spokesperson announced that Armenia should consider the possibility of becoming a candidate for membership in the European Union (EU).

Azatutyun inquired with the chairman of the National Assembly's foreign relations committee, Sargis Khandanyan, whether there are any discussions with the EU regarding this matter. Khandanyan responded, “We have a deepening agenda with the European Union and we can discuss a number of various issues. I cannot rule out any questions.”
