Dozens of caves have been discovered on the banks of the Hrazdan River in Yerevan, which were inhabited since the earliest stages of human history, dating back to the Early Stone Age. The Yerevan Municipality has released a statement and video regarding this find.

It is noted that a rich collection of ancient Stone Age cultural artifacts has been uncovered in the city’s oldest cave, "Yerevan-1." "Over 20,000 various working tools made from flint, stone, basalt, and limestone in different colors and shades have been found here, as well as animal bones. A relatively well-preserved skeleton of a cave dweller has also been discovered," the statement reads.

The archaeological materials are being preserved at the History Museum of Yerevan.
