18+ VIDEO: Man Attacks Chakhoyan with Axe During Live Stream on Corruption
Activist Arthur Chakhoyan reported another manifestation of corruption by the Yerevan municipality during a Facebook live stream, where he was subsequently attacked.
He displayed a Kamaz truck filled with street tiles, stating, "This 'Kamaz' has come out from the intersection of Sayat-Nova and Abovyan Streets in Yerevan. These are the tiles that I keep saying are being stolen—public property is being misappropriated. Look, these are tiles that have served for over 50 years and are of very good quality. State property is being brought here for storage; the tiles are neatly arranged so they can be used later, sold. This should be in Yerevan. They are taking it away from Tigran Avinyan, although he is fully aware of it."
Two men in the area began to curse and attacked Chakhoyan, demanding that he leave the premises. They started throwing stones at the activist.
"This is not a private area; both of you will be judged. You will pay for your insults. Look, he is attacking me with an axe; this is an assassination attempt against me," Chakhoyan stated.
