VIDEO: Farmers with Tractors in Central Paris
Farmers from various regions of France have driven tractors through central Paris in demand of state support funds. This is reported by a TASS correspondent.
It is stated that approximately 50 tractors are participating in the protest. The farmers have attached French flags and banners to their vehicles, calling for a stop to "uncontrolled imports," while also protesting against the import of cheaper agricultural products from Ukraine.
The tractor rally is taking place on the eve of an international agricultural conference that is set to begin in Paris on February 24. President Emmanuel Macron is expected to open the conference and has promised to engage in dialogue with the farmers regarding support measures.
It should be noted that farmers' protests are ongoing in various European countries.
