Video: When Will Our Newly Arrived 30 Buses Start Service? Avinyan
“The competitions have taken place, and the customs clearance work is completely finished. There is an issue with one private route; their contract ends on March 1. I assume we will enter that route on March 1. The rest are technically ready to start service earlier, but the tax payments have been made there. If we enter earlier, it would result in double payments. We can wait and start all together from March 1,” said Vazgen Harutyunyan, head of the transport department of the city hall, during a meeting of the Yerevan Municipality’s executive committee while responding to the mayor’s question about when the 30 new buses would enter service.
The mayor was informed that taxation is based on the number of seats, and if the buses start service a few days early, additional payments would be required. However, Tigran Avinyan stated that he does not see a problem with making the necessary payments.
