VIDEO: Penalty Points for Stopping in the Second Lane to be Changed
With a proposal from the government, taking into account the suggestions of deputies Vladimir Vardanyan, Armen Khachatryan, and Vahagn Aleksanyan, it is planned to change the penalty point for stopping in the second lane from 0.5 to 0.25, considering the overall load and the danger of the act. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan during a session of the state-legal committee.
“We have accepted Mr. Torosyan's proposal; at this moment, for violations of the transparency rules of side windows, only a fine is anticipated, without the removal of penalty points. However, considering public safety, we suggest that under the condition of committing an offense for the second time within a year, 2 points will be removed and a fine will be imposed amounting to twenty times the wage,” Sargsyan said.
