Large Quantity of Weapons and Ammunition Discovered at Former Cardiology Hospital in Lori

On February 19, police officers from the Lori regional division and the Bazum police department recorded another incident of weapon and ammunition discovery in Lori.

After explanatory work conducted by the police, a citizen called the Bazum police department and reported that he is a participant of all the wars in Artsakh. He expressed his intention to hand over the weapons and ammunition he brought back from the wars to the authorities, leaving them at the area of the former "Cardiology" hospital located on Nizami Street.

Police officers immediately headed to the specified location, where they conducted search and clearance operations. As a result, they discovered packages near an incomplete building, covered with a blue woolen blanket and a plastic cover. An initial examination revealed: 3 revolvers, 2 pistols resembling the "Makarov" type, 1 pistol resembling the "Walter" type, 3 automatic rifles, 1 shortened-barreled "Carabine," 1 smooth-barreled shotgun with a shortened barrel, 1 shell, 11 grenades, 6 detonators, 1 anti-personnel mine with its detonator, 2 magazines, 2 belts, 45 bullets of 7.62 mm caliber, 2 sealed boxes of ammunition, 793 rounds of various calibers, and 1 zinc container with large-caliber bullets.

An investigation has been initiated in the investigative department regarding this incident.
