Fatal Accident on Masis-Yerevan Highway: Casualties and Injured
On February 18, at 19:11, the crisis management center of the Ararat regional rescue service received a call reporting a traffic accident at the roundabout near Ain’tap village.
Emergency teams, including one combat unit from the fire-rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Yerevan and a rescue group from the special-purpose rescue operations administration, were dispatched to the scene.
It was found that vehicles identified as 'VAZ' (driver V. Z., born in 1976) and 'Skoda' (driver G. B., born in 1981) collided on the Masis-Yerevan highway, near the 6th lane of the 17th street in Ain'tap village. The driver of the 'VAZ' vehicle and a passenger, T. M. (born in 1986), died at the scene.
Before the rescue teams could extract the 'Skoda' driver, he was taken to the hospital, where his health condition was assessed as seriously stable.
Rescue teams secured the gas cylinder valve of the 'VAZ' vehicle, removed the bodies, placed them in transport vehicles, and conducted road cleaning operations.
