Details of the Tragic Accident at the 'Crossroads of Khach' - Victims and Injured

On February 18, at 19:11, a call was received by the emergency management center of the Ararat regional rescue department reporting an accident at the circular intersection in the village of Ayintap. A team from the Fire and Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Yerevan along with a specialized rescue unit from the Rescue Operations Center was dispatched to the scene.

It was revealed that two vehicles, a VAZ (driver: V. Z., born in 1976) and a Skoda (driver: G. B., born in 1981), collided near the 6th alley on 17th street of the Masis-Yerevan highway. The driver of the VAZ and a passenger T. M. (born in 1986) died at the scene.

Before rescuers could reach the site, the driver of the Skoda was hospitalized, where his condition was assessed as serious but stable. Rescuers closed the gas valve of the VAZ vehicle, removed the bodies, transferred them to transport vehicles, and carried out road cleaning operations.
