Video: How Europe’s Champions Were Welcomed at Zvartnots Airport

The Zvartnots Airport in Yerevan warmly welcomed Europe’s champions Arsen Harutyunyan, Arman Andreasyan, bronze medalist Mejlun Mejlumyan, and the Armenian national team, who returned from the European Wrestling Championship held in Romania. The team, led by head coach Habatnak Kurgyinyan, arrived in Yerevan on February 20 at 5:30 AM from a flight connecting Bucharest to Kishinev and then to Yerevan.

Originally, the champions were expected to arrive earlier, but the Armenian Wrestling Federation announced a delay due to flight adjustments.

The atmosphere at the airport was celebratory, with fans holding banners and photos of Harutyunyan and Andreasyan, eagerly awaiting the medalists. Reports indicate that the reception included the president of the Wrestling Federation, Robert Khachatrayan, Secretary General of the Armenian National Olympic Committee Hrachya Rostomyan, representatives from the city of Masis, parents, relatives, and friends of the athletes.
