An airplane traveling from the Philippine island of Boracay to Shanghai made an emergency landing in Hong Kong after a passenger's portable charger (Powerbank) exploded. This information was reported by the Hong Kong news portal HK01, as conveyed by RIA Novosti.

The incident occurred on Monday during Royal Air Philippines flight RW602. The Powerbank exploded after a passenger attempted to charge their iPad with it. The explosion caused smoke to fill the cabin of the aircraft. There are no reports of injuries.
