Snow and Fog: Situation on Armenia's Roads

The Emergency Rescue Service reports that there are closed roads within the Republic of Armenia.

The roads from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station to the Amberd fortress and the Kari Lake are closed in the Aragatsotn region.

Snow is falling in the city of Goris.

Fog is present in the section known as "Meghru Mountain," as well as in the cities of Goris and Kapan.

According to information received from the Department of Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
